Volosko is Opatija's atmospheric old fishing quarter, a maze of steep stone lanes tumbling to a picture-perfect harbour at the northern terminus of the Lungomare. It has become a gourmet enclave, home to some of Croatia's most celebrated seafood restaurants, while retaining authentic village character that contrasts with Opatija's grand hotels. Character stone houses and renovated apartments are scarce and sought-after, generally €4,500-6,500/m², close to Opatija's premium band.
