About La Estrella

La Estrella is a separate municipality at the far-south Aburrá Valley, the southern terminus of Metro Line A, that blends a basilica-and-plaza historic core with fast-growing belts of mid-range apartments climbing the green hillsides. It is one of the metro’s emerging, value-frontier areas, attracting young families and value buyers priced out of central Medellín with newer developments, a "pueblo verde" green setting and lower prices. For investors it is a catch-up thesis, roughly 30-45% below El Poblado, Metro-connected and family-driven, but predominantly new-build and pre-sale, so developer and HOA due diligence matters, and it is a long-term-rental rather than short-let market.
